Steel Magnolias - M’lynn Inspired Look Created With Thrift Store Finds

We went with a simple outfit for this character but made sure to stay true to her identity. This outfit contains plain black heels with a bow that look to be inspired by this time period, a solid colored dress mixed with something along the lines of pink and red, pearl earrings, and a pearl necklace.

Our vision for this project is to find costumes for the Leadership Prep, high school production of Steel Magnolias on April 25 andApril 26

This look could be easily recreated by using Grace Bridge Resale, or another local thrift store. As a resource. M’lynn was a mother and a wealthy therapist. We felt that this outfit suited her.

Grace Bridge Resale is a thrift store that provides multiple benefits to the community. The volunteers help out at food banks, a vision clinic, their resale store, community gardens and much more!
